The second annual Kids in Court program will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The free event is hosted by Patrick County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office; the Martinsville Public Defender’s Office; and sponsored by the Virginia State Bar-Young Lawyer’s Conference. It will be held at the Patrick Country Historic Court House on 100 N. Main Street, Stuart, and available to children ages 5-10 years of age.
Kids in Court is a fun, educational, and interactive program designed to introduce children to Virginia’s judicial system in a traditional courtroom setting. Lunch will be provided for each child and their parents and/or guardians. Space is limited to the first 25 children who RSVP to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
