The Virginia Health Care Association – Virginia Center for Assisted Living has awarded a first place D.A. “Woody” Brown Community Involvement Award to The Landmark Center for their Community Easter Egg Hunt this year.

This partnership with Blue Ridge Therapy Connection, the Chamber of Commerce, and the community brings hundreds of children, parents, and of course, residents and their families to Landmark Drive to celebrate spring.

These awards recognize members who have demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and creativity in designing activity programs that encourage and support their residents and families. VHCA-VCAL acknowledges the outstanding activity programs that involve, entertain, educate, and enrich the individuals in their care each year.

Winners were honored on September 13 at the annual VHCA-VCAL conference and awards banquet at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center.

Accepting the D.A. “Woody” Brown Award for Special Event Programming are (L to R) Lori Saul, regional director of business development for Hill Valley Health Care; Belle Pendleton, Landmark Activities Coordinator; and Lisa Martin, Landmark Director of Community Relations.
