Mr. Larry John Lawless, age 80 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, North Carolina on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was born in Patrick County, Virginia on August 22, 1944, to the late Eugene Madison Lawless and Mabel Pendleton Lawless. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawless was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Porterfield Lawless. Larry was the owner/operator of Lawless Logging for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his local dirt track races and short track races. Larry dearly loved his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, adoring papa, brother, uncle, and friend.

Left to cherish the memories of Larry Lawless are his three children, Randy Lawless, Penny Winfree (Lee), and Larry Vincent Lawless; three stepchildren, Nettie Alvarez (Carlos), Angel Pack ( James), and Johnathan Volkers; four grandchildren, Jordan Taylor (Austin), Morgan Barbour (Corey), Ashley Dalton (Logan), Hunter Lawless (Karlee); four great-grandchildren, Noah, Briar, Wren, and Mason; one sister and brother-in-law/fishing buddy, Linda Hayden (W.C.); two nieces; and three special friends, Eugene Jones, Dean Mabe, and Bruce Griffith.

The funeral for Mr. Lawless will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Bruce Griffith speaking. Burial will follow in Jacks Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday afternoon. Online Condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
