The Red Bank Ruritan club would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual river run last weekend.

The sponsors are a big part of our event. We thank each and everyone one of you. The racers and non racers. We look forward to seeing you each year and, like family, we try to catch up of how you’ve done since we saw you last. You are very important to us. We thank you. To the sheriff’s department, you keep us and our guests safe from Friday to Saturday evening. Thank you. To Blue Ridge Rescue Squad, you are on standby in case of a boo-boo. Just having you there makes us feel great. Thank you. To the folks that own the property that we use, thank you. The guys that work at the powerhouse releasing the water and directing the traffic flow, we thank you. And to the Ruritan club members that plan this each year…what can I say? From the ad sales, to picking up the booklets, the t-shirts, the food, and supplies, to standing on your feet all day doing the different jobs it takes to make this happen, to working on the permits we have to have from county and state levels, thank you. Remember, the last Saturday in July. If you’re not a part of a Ruritan club in your own neighborhood, find one and join today. You can make a difference in your community and feel good about it.
