An active-shooter meeting for churches will be held December 5, at 7 p.m. at Stuart Presbyterian Church on Staples Avenue in Stuart, according to a release from the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office.

The meeting is designed for church leaders who want information about implementing strategy to deal with an active shooter.

If interested in attending, call the sheriff’s office dispatch center at (276) 694-3161 to be added to the attendance list. The dispatcher will ask for your name, church name, leadership position within the church and a call back number.
