To the citizens of Patrick County and the surrounding area:

The first of April I made a request to the citizens asking you to consider making a donation to The Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard, in support of their mission to provide the military rites at a veteran’s funeral.

I have been humbled by the amount of support the Honor Guard has received from the citizens of Patrick County and outside of Patrick County.
The response has been so great that we are pleased to announce that the Honor Guard is no longer in jeopardy of being unable to continue our services to our deceased comrades.

This would not have been possible without the support of the citizens and patriots of Patrick County and the surrounding area.

As a result of the generosity of our citizens, we have met and exceeded our expectations and our financial position for the future is optimistic.

On behalf of the Honor Guard, I would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank you” to those who responded to our request for assistance. Hopefully the year ahead will be economically fruitful for all of us and we will be able to avoid future requests of an urgent nature.

May God bless the citizens of Patrick County, our great state and the United States of America.
Kindest regards,
Richard Cox, treasurer
Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard
