The Lady Cougars ended their season with an 18-8 win in 5 innings over the Lady Buffaloes when the Patrick County Middle School Softball Team hosted Floyd County on Wednesday, May 26.
Hayden Lawless was 2-4 with 2 RBIs and was hit by a pitch.
Journey Moore was 2-3 at the plate with 1 RBI and 5 stolen bases.
Eden Nickelston was 1-3, and Linsleigh Spence was 1-2, walked once, and hit by a pitch.
Jayden Callahan was 2-3 with 1 RBI, Gracie Marshall was 1-3 with 3 RBIs, and Tillie Hauser was walked twice and hit by a pitch.
The Cougars had 3 pitchers in the circle on the night. Nickelston pitched 2 innings, allowing no hits and walking 2. Lawless pitched 1/3 innings, walking 1 and hitting 2 batters. Moore pitched 2 2/3 innings, striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 4 hits.
The Lady Cougars ended their season with a 7-2 record.
