 Mr. Ben “Benny” Webster Carter

 Mr. Ben “Benny” Webster Carter, age 66 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at his home.  He was born on June 14, 1955, to the late Willie “Dump” Carter and Beatrice Webster Carter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Pride, and a brother, Michael Carter.  Benny had served in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a hard worker who never met a stranger and loved joking around.

Surviving is his children, Chris Lamb of Gastonia, NC, Willie Lamb, Tiffany Dillon, and Sara Dillon all of Stuart; one granddaughter, Safari Brooklyn Lamb; one brother, James A. “Moochie” Carter of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Richard Spencer officiating.  Military rites will be performed by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.  Burial will follow in the Hylton Thessalonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
