Mr. Bobby O’Brian Cole, Sr. age 86 of Ararat, Virginia passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at his home. Mr. Cole was born on November 3, 1935, in Lee County, North Carolina to the late Reid and Daisy Holt Cole. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Surviving are his two sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby Cole Jr. of Stuart, VA, Michael Warren Cole and wife Donna of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one special nephew, Arlis “Teeny” Burkhardt of Harriman, TN; two special nieces, Bonnie Stevens of Mount Airy, Judy Cole Hilliard of Kernersville, NC; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In an addition to his parents, Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Tilley Cole; a son, David Paul Cole; and seven siblings. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
