Mr. Carl Junior Goins, age 67 of Claudville, departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 26, 1954. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Goins; and four brothers, Willie Goins, Tom Goins, James Goins, and Charlie Goins. Mr. Goins was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, he loved the Lord, his church family, antique cars, hot rods, and owned and operated Goins Body Shop. He was employed by Stuart Flooring for 18 years and Quality Mills in Mount Airy for 22 years. Carl will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
Carl is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tammy Leftwich Goins of the home; one sister, Lynda Jones of Stuart; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Goins will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors David Freeman and Wayburn Mosley officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Stuart Church of Christ Cemetery in Dry Pond. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
