 Mr. Claude Madison Helms

 Mr. Claude Madison Helms, age 86 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Franklin Health and Rehab in Rocky Mt.  He was born in Floyd County on April 8, 1935, to the late Frazier Helms and Emma Cruise Helms.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Belcher Helms; one sister, Loveda Hylton; and four brothers, Fred, Ernest, Glenn, Coy, Helms.  Claude served in the U.S. Army and had retired from Sara Lee Corp.

          Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Claude Wayne Helms and wife, Carol A. Helms of Rocky Mt; two grandchildren, Zachary Helms and wife, Michelle, Nikole Helms Basham and husband, Kevin; two great grandchildren, Xane and Finnley; one sister, Dorothy Belcher of Meadows of Dan; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Elder Tim McGrady officiating.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
