  Mr. Larry Leston Willard, Sr. age 69 of Stuart, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at Sovah Health of Danville.  He was born in Carroll County on November 10, 1950 to Reed Willard and Vetrus Nester Willard.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Leath.  Mr. Willard owned and operated Larry’s Variety for approximately 30 years.  Larry will be remembered as an honest, hardworking, and simple man; that loved antique cars, car shows, cigars, his old cat Patch, and adored his family above all.

          Surviving is the love of his life, Nancy Niten Plaster Willard of the home; three children, Stephanie Willard Boyd and husband, Eddie of Laurel Fork, Larry Leston Willard, Jr. and wife, Pam of Bassett, and Jennifer Hooker and husband, Chris of Stuart; six grandchildren, Anthony Boyd and wife, Brittnay Jarrells, Jessica Willard, Kimberlie Willard, Tiffany Bowman and husband, Cody, and Toby Hooker; two great grandchildren, Sadie Jarrells and Amiela Boyd; his mother, Vetrus Nester Willard of Laurel Fork; four siblings, Linford Willard and wife, Cricket of Meadows of Dan, Donald Willard and wife, Wanda of Meadows of Dan, Brenda Law and husband, John of Stuart, and Patricia Goad of Laurel Fork; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Patrick Springs Christian Church with Pastor Jim Morris and Eddie Boyd officiating.  Burial will follow in the Nester Family Cemetery in Laurel Fork.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Patrick County Chapter, P.O.
