Mrs. Della Mae Pullins Pilson,

Mrs. Della Mae Pullins Pilson, age 83, of Woolwine, VA, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020, at her home. She was born in Pageton, WV on February 20, 1937, to the late Fletcher and Martha Lou Phillips Pullins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Lee Pilson; four siblings, Genetta Moore, Henry Pullins, Annie Gertrude Harris, and James Garfield Pullins.

Surviving are her three children, Curtis Leander Pilson (Melissa) of Martinsville, VA, Marvin Elliott Pilson (Brenda) of New Rochelle, NY, Martha Denise Pilson Hairston of Woolwine, VA; five grandchildren, Caitlin Pilson, Grant Pilson, Brianna Hairston, Ethan Pilson, and Jocelyn Pilson; eight siblings, Mattie Scott of High Point, NC, Dorothy Pullins of Stuart, VA, Irene Stubblefield (John) of Reidsville, NC, Glenda Joseph of High Point, NC, Laymon Pullins (Carolyn) of GA, Hattie Pullins, Marquenta Pullins, and Alesia Bratton, all of High Point, NC; caregivers, Taylor Watkins of Woolwine, VA and Estelle Ingram Barner of Wytheville, VA, and a great host of nieces and nephews.

The family of Della Pilson will hold a public visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, VA. Funeral services will be private with Elder G. Joseph Carter officiating. Burial will take place at the West Liberty Cemetery in Woolwine, VA. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
