The Bible says in John 3:16-17…For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17…For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (KJV)
It is a most blessed thought to know we have a God of love, compassion, mercy and grace watching over us. God has made it possible for all people to be saved by sending Jesus, His beloved Son, to die for the sins of all people.
It is true that He took our sins, it is true that He paid the price for the whole world, it is true He gave Himself as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28) Whosoever desires let them take the water of life freely.
What about those who do not receive His gift of salvation? It takes their direct refusal of the blood of Jesus, they have to refuse to have Christ Jesus reign over them. It is whosoever desires on this side and whoever does not on the other side.
There are many people living in the world who do not desire God’s gift or to have anything to do with God and there will be a day when they will have to answer to Him. Why do so many feel this way about Jesus? Because the god of this age has blinded them, they do not believe, they do not believe in the gospel and glory of Christ Jesus.
The Bible says, “every knee will bow and every tongue will confess.” Jesus was not sent into this world to condemn the world but to save mankind from their own destruction. We certainly see a lot of pride, selfishness and hate, we see misguided people who want to kill, we see less and less of love of one another, all because we don’t have Jesus in our life…but WHY NOT?
The Bible says…He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me (Jesus). If you don’t know Jesus, ask Him today to come into your heart and then get into a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church somewhere to help you grow in the Lord…blessed and highly favored of God.
