Mr. Paul Sylvester Turner, age 87 of Stuart, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at his home. He was born in Stokes County on February 7, 1936, to the late Henry Turner and Nannie Brown Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Pheobe Ayers, Louise Shelton, and Pauline Shields. Paul had retired from Bassett Table Company.
Surviving is his wife, Erlene T. Turner of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and Junior Cregger of Walnut Cove, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to T and B Volunteers, 2273 S. Mayo Dr., Stuart, VA 24171.
