PAWS, Patrick Animal Welfare Society, announced its newly elected officers for the 2019 year: Amber Agee, president; Oscar Joost, vice-president; BJ Nolan, treasurer; Dee Nolan, corresponding secretary; and Pat Cannon, recording secretary.

PAWS members expressed their appreciation of the many years of service of the outgoing officers:  Murphy Brown, Brenda Sims, David Sheley, and John Motley.

PAWS is a local organization that strives to raise awareness of and support to the needy dogs and domestic animal population, including homeless, unwanted, starved and abused pets. An exciting calendar of events this year includes exhibits, raffles, and more.

To learn more about PAWS, all are welcome and invited to attend our monthly meetings on the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Hooker Building, Rotary Field, Woodland Drive, Stuart, or call (276) 694-2378 to volunteer.

Our next meeting is Feb. 28. Hope to see you there.

Dee Nolan

Secretary
