Several members of the Patrick County High School (PCHS) Fishing Team won the Bass High School Nation of Virginia JAT 6/Man Tournament at John H. Kerr (Buggs Island) Lake, Saturday, June 26.

The three team-combining winning totals were 32.92 lbs. with 15 fish.

The team brought home the first-place trophy for another year.

Teams, David Bryant and Zach Heath, with 12.29 lbs.; Ethan Hubbard and Andrew Willard, with 11.82 lbs. and Devin Walker and Jake Caine, with 8.81 lbs.

Ethan Hubbard and Andrew Willard had the Big Fish of the tournament, at 4.23 lbs.

In Virginia, the Top 6 on each high school team (via point system, total weight, total fish), qualify to be on the 6-man team. Each high school team has to be affiliated with B.A.S.S. Federation Nation to be eligible for the tournament.

Patrick County competed against Brunswick Academy Vikings, Foothills Youth Anglers, Lake Annaelite Anglers, Madison High School, Mecklenburg HS Anglers, Mecklenburg Youth BassMasters, Smith Mountain Lake Christian, and Southern Outcast.

Thanks to everyone who helped, including boat captains and parents, who helped provide a great day with our anglers, and thanks for continued support.
