Tickets are now on sale for Savory September: Hawaii, Piedmont Arts’ annual party and fundraiser for the arts.

This year’s event will celebrate the food and culture of Hawaii on Friday, Sept. 22 from 7- 10 p.m. Guests will enjoy a progressive dinner-style event at Piedmont Arts and the museum’s new Gravely-Lester Art Garden.

Local chefs will prepare and serve heavy hors d’oeuvres with a Hawaiian theme. Guests can also enjoy live music and a cash bar featuring Mai Tais and Hawaiian beer.

“We are excited about this year’s Hawaiian theme,” Kathy Rogers, executive director, said. “We already have several chefs and restaurants participating and hope the community will join us as we explore the culinary delights and culture of Hawaii.”

While savoring the tastes of Hawaii, guests can also take part in a 50/50 raffle or bid on artwork by local artist John Matthews in a silent auction.

“In the past, our 50/50 raffles have raised thousands of dollars,” said Rogers. “It’s a great way to raise money for the museum and reward one lucky community member for their support of the arts in MHC.”

The 50/50 raffle tickets are $10 each or $50 for 6. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at Piedmont Arts, located at 215 Starling Avenue, or at the museum on the night of the event.

Admission tickets to Savory September: Hawaii are $35 each and include one complimentary drink per ticket. Tickets are on sale now at Piedmont Arts, by calling 276-632-3221 and online at http://PiedmontArts.org.
