Patrick County will hold a public hearing Monday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building, third-floor board room, 106 Rucker St., Stuart. The public hearing immediately follows the Board of Supervisors’ 6 p.m. meeting.

The purpose of the public hearing is to solicit public input on local community development and housing needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant funding for a revitalization project in Meadows of Dan.

Information will be available on the following: the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low-to-moderate-income people, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary.

Residents will also have an opportunity to comment on Patrick County’s past use of CDBG funds. All interested residents are encouraged to attend.

For additional information, call Patrick County Administrator Tom Rose at (276) 694-6094. Comments and grievances may also be submitted in writing to Rose at P.O. Box 466, Stuart, Va., 24171, or via phone until February 9.

Anyone planning to attend who has special needs requirements is urged to call the number above.
