The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office will host its annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at DeHart Park.
The free, family-friendly event begins at 5 p.m. and offers residents an opportunity to meet sheriff’s deputies and other first responders in an informal setting while enjoying food and community activities.
Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith said the event provides time for officers and the community to come together and fellowship.
He and his office encourage families, friends and community members of all ages to attend and get to know local law enforcement.
National Night Out is an annual event held in communities across the country to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the public while promoting crime prevention and neighborhood partnerships.
