The Rotary Club of Stuart and the Stuart Ruritan Club are partnering to launch a new community initiative, “Pints for Patrick County Partnerships,” a service-driven pitch night designed to support the growth of local businesses and nonprofits. The event will take place on Thursday, August 27, from 6–8 p.m. at Pickle & Ash.
“Pints for Patrick County Partnerships” invites local businesses and nonprofits to present a 3 to 5 minute pitch outlining a project that would help them grow or better serve the community. Projects may include painting, organizing a workspace, sprucing up an outdoor area, or any task that requires volunteer hands and a modest budget. Each participating business will also have the opportunity to set up a small display and speak with attendees throughout the evening.
Attendees will enjoy the atmosphere at Pickle & Ash while listening to the presentations and then vote for the project they believe will make the greatest impact. A $5 donation will be collected at the door, with 100% of funds going directly toward supplies and materials for the winning project. If the project exceeds the amount raised, the business will simply cover the remaining cost.
The winning business will receive a day of volunteer service from both clubs to complete their project as well as the money raised at the event.
This event is all about lifting up local businesses and nonprofits in a hands-on, meaningful way, Rotary is excited to partner with the Ruritans and bring a fresh, community-focused idea to Patrick County.
