Football Falls to Radford

Patrick County traveled to Radford on Friday, October 18, losing by a score of 28-14. The Cougars were led offensively by Easton Harris who tallied 117 yards on 22 carries and 36 return yards in the kicking game and Avone Kidd who had 71 yards on 16 carries and 2 touchdowns, Calvin Lancaster had 35 yards on 8 carries, and Jayden Corns added 28 yards on 7 carries and 7 yards receiving. Defensively, the Cougars were led by Paul Pascale with 8 tackles. Jayden Corns, Noah Jessup, and Easton Harris added 5 tackles each. Glenn Stovall recorded his second interception in as many weeks. Conner Goad, Seth Geiger, Calvin Lancaster, Josh Jimrusti, Cameron Collins, Josiah Spangler, Reggie Brown, Wheeler Helms, and Antwain Mitchell all added tackles for Patrick County. 

The Cougars will be back in action Friday night at John D. Hooker Field in Stuart when they take on Alleghany at 7 p.m. 

 

PCHS Cross Country Teams Win Meet

The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams traveled to Carroll County, Wednesday, October 16, winning both races. The boys team was led by Noah Hiatt who placed 2nd overall. Fisher Martin placed 3rd overall, Greely Terry 4th overall, and William Overby was 6th overall. 

The girls team was led by Callie Wood who finished 5th overall. Eliana Montgomery came in 7th overall, and Mackenzie Williams finished 10th. 

The Middle School Cross Country Teams also competed on Wednesday. Levi Hankins won the two-mile race outright with a time of 12:45. 

The PCHS Cross Country teams will compete next at the Three Rivers District Championships on October 29th at the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, Va.
