Girls Tennis Falls to Bassett

The Patrick County Girls Tennis Team fell to Bassett 2-7, on Tuesday, April 25. 

In Singles, Mia Stowe (PC) fell to Taylor Reed 5-8, Madison Mullis (PC) defeated Hannah Eanes 8-1, Cecilia Leon-Cisneros (PC) fell to Bailey Dyer 2-8, Katie Vernon (PC) fell to Evan Parnell 1-8, Shyanne Holt (PC) fell to Laken Porter 0-8, and Aaliyah Reynolds (PC) fell to Jenna Meador 2-8. In Doubles, Mia Stowe/Madison Mullis (PC) defeated Taylor Reed/Hannah Eanes 8-3, Cecilia Leon-Cisneros/Katie Vernon (PC) fell to Evan Parnell/Laken Porter 2-8, and Shyanne Holt/Aaliyah Reynolds (PC) fell to Bailey Dyer/Charity Whitfield 0-8. 

 

Girls Tennis Defeats Magna Vista

The Girls Tennis Team defeated Magna Vista 9-0, Wednesday, April 26.  In Singles, Marissa Bentley (PC) defeated Lakyn Cockram 8-1, and Mia Stowe, Madison Mullis, Cecilia Leon-Cisneros, Katie Vernon, and Shyanne Holt won by Magna Vista forfeit.

In Doubles, Marissa Bentley/Mia Stowe, Madison Mullis/Cecilia Leon-Ciseneros, and Katie Vernon/Shyanne Holt win by Magna Vista forfeit.

 

Varsity Baseball Loses to Tunstall

The Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Tunstall on Tuesday, April 25 where they lost to the Trojans 1-4.  Jai Penn got the start on the mound, going 4 1/3 innings, giving up 3 earned runs on 2 hits, striking out 5 and walking 6. He was relieved by Stuart Callahan who went 1 2/3 innings giving up 1 earned run, 1 hit, 2 strikeouts, and 1 walk. The Cougars were led at the plate by Penn and Martin Sawyers who both had 2 hits each. 

 

Lady Cougar Softball Gets Win

The Lady Cougars defeated Tunstall 14-2 on the road, Tuesday, April 25. Mckenzie Holt got the win on the mound, striking out 5. Holt also had 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Kyleigh Gusler had a base clearing double with 5 RBIs, and Alexis Knight scored 3 runs and 3 RBIs. Lilly Hazelwood had 2 hits with 2 RBIs.
