Patrick County public schools are participating in the Summer Food Service Program again this year, according to Sue R. Washburn, director of food services.
Meals will be provided to all children 18 and under without charge. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
A training session will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, in the Patrick County High School library. It is a requirement of the program that someone from your site attend this training session. Materials needed for your site will be provided.
“Please make plans to assure a representative from your site will attend this training session,” Washburn said. “We look forward to forming a successful partnership with your organization in the coming months.”
For more information, call Washburn at 276-694-3836.
