Varsity Softball Team Splits the Week

McKenzie Holt threw a no hitter on Monday, March 20, in the 8 -2 win over Dan River. Holt had 9 strikeouts and 6 walks on the night. Holt also led the way at the plate going 4 for 4. Journey Moore went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBIs, and Lauren Fulcher was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Samantha Harris also had 2 hits with a triple in the win. 

The Lady Cougars traveled to Franklin County to compete in the Battle of the Bases Friday Night.  PC lost 2-4 to Chestnut Ridge High School out of New Paris, Pennsylvania. Journey Moore had the tough loss in the circle, pitching all 7 innings, striking out 7 and giving up 1 earned run. Lauren Fulcher had 2 hits with 2 RBIs. Moore and Brylee Pike each had hits in the loss.
