In an order filed with Patrick County Circuit Court last fall, Patrick County Circuit Court Judge Martin F. Clark Jr. granted a request to remove Kandy Burnett from the lawsuit formerly named Muriel Tamera Waldron versus William D. Sroufe and Kandy Burnett.
As of Nov. 3, 2016, the suit is now under the name Muriel Tamera Waldron versus William D. Sroufe.
Originally filed June 9, 2015, by former Stuart Elementary School Principal Tammy Waldron, the suit seeks $5.2 million in actual damages and no less than $750,000 in punitive damages surrounding Waldron’s April 24 removal from her position at Stuart Elementary.
The jury trial is scheduled to begin on March 27 at 9 a.m. in the Patrick County Circuit Court.
