Woolwine Elementary School’s fifth graders received certificates at their DARE graduation ceremony.

Principal Jeannie King (left) presented certificates to DARE graduates as SRO Randy Clark observes.

Woolwine Elementary School recently held its fifth grade DARE celebration and graduation. The students thank the parents, grandparents and others who attended and for their support of the DARE program and the school.

School Nurse Mandy Trent Worley was chosen by the fifth graders as the DARE Role Model for 2018.

The students express their appreciation to School Resource Officer Randy Clark for his hard work and dedication to the school and the DARE Program, and  to Sheriff Dan Smith and the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office for their dedication to aiding school officials in making students aware of important life-long choices

Students also send thanks to the WES PTO for the DARE resources, Glenda Pickerel for the certificates, Katina Lee Pettit for working with DARE essays and invitations, and Deborah Shively Dillon and Greg Rorrer for set-up and technology resources for the program. They also thank Ellen Hylton, Brenda Hylton and Renea Payne for the delicious refreshments.
