“And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.” 1 Corinthians 12:26
The human body has many parts. We ignore most parts until something’s wrong. Who finishes brushing their teeth, and then gives their little toe a massage? Nobody. But wait until you kick that little piggy against the bed! The Bible says we are part of one body, and compares you and me to the parts of the body. Some of us are eyes that see solutions to our problems and others are hands that like to work. All are needed.
What happens when a part doesn’t work? It’s hard. We have friends in our community that have a part of the body not working or missing. These can testify, life is a little harder when a part isn’t working.  When people are missing from the local church, it’s hard. God gave each individual a special task to do in your local church. Without you, the church will not function as it should. Get involved again.
What happens to a county and community when the people are not involved. It’s hard. Our recent struggles about taxes, leadership, economic growth, and the broken foot that is our hospital will only improve with YOUR involvement. Get involved again. We need you on our boards, committees, Rotary, Ruritans, festivals, Chamber of Commerce, schools, and churches. Without you, there is a hole in our community. You are missed.
