Winford Lee Bowman, 85, formerly of 3rd Ave., Danville, died Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Roman Eagle Rehab and Healthcare Center.
He was born October 21, 1930 in Meadows of Dan and was a son of the late Mary Edna Goins Bowman and the late Ed Parsons Bowman. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Gloria Mae Burleson Bowman; and his wife, Nancy Carol Frith Bowman; his sisters, Mary Ann Bowman and Frances Lane; and his brothers, Hassell Bowman, Glenn Bowman, and Billy Bowman.
He retired following 40 years of service in Dan River Mills, Inc. and was a member of the Central Blvd. Church of God.
Surviving are his daughters, Barbara Gaskins of Florence, S.C., and Diane Howell of Lamar, S.C.; one grandson and one stepgranddaughter.
Services will be private.
