Mrs. Dorothy Lee Stoots, age 92 of Partick Springs VA, formerly of Galax, VA, was received into heaven into the arms of Jesus, February 10, 2026 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart VA She was born July 31, 1933 in Galax to the late Arthur K. Leonard and Virgie Leonard. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Leonard and William Leonard, and a sister, Sue Vaughan.
She attended Faith Fellowship Church in Bassett, VA where she enjoyed her church family.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Iva Sue Gilley, her son-in-law, Michael, sister-in-law, Margaret Leonard all of Patrick Springs, VA, grandchildren, Antonio Gilley and Angela Gilley White, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She will be missed, forever remembered, and cherished for the love and strength she brought into the lives of many.
The family would like to thank Blue Ridge Therapy Connections for their care for the last several months and High Country Services.
