Frankie Pearl Tolbert Bowman, 77, formerly of Bassett, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart.
She was born April 11, 1939 in Surry County, N.C. and was a daughter of the late Martin and Pearl Sawyers Tolbert. She was also predeceased by her two sons, Dennis Dean Bowman and Steve L. Bowman; five brothers, Curtis, David, Arnold, Bill, and Kenneth Tolbert; and three sisters, Kathline Beck, Ann Lee Tolbert, and Thelma Hall.
She had attended Collinsville Church of Christ and had retired from J.D. Bassett Manufacturing with over 25 years of service.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Teresa Bowman of Collinsville; three granddaughters; three sisters, Hester Lester of Bassett, Mary Sias of Mount Airy, N.C., and Lilly Brooks of Dobson, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Bud Sedwick officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
