Mr. James “Lyle” Ingle, age 100 of Stuart, Virginia was called home to join his wife of 72 years, Brooxie, on Friday, November 15, 2024. He was born in Patrick County on October 23, 1924, to the late J.B. Ingle and Mary Jane Belcher Ingle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brooxie Bowman Ingle; one granddaughter, Wendy Martin; one brother, Lee Ingle; and one sister, Maude Ingle Handy. Mr. Ingle was a member of Hill’s Grove Baptist Church. He was known as ‘Pa’ to most and a friend to all who knew him. Pa loved to run dogs, work the garden, share stories and laughs with all who loved him.

Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Ingle are one son, James Ingle (Carolyn) of Stuart; one daughter, Janice Ingle (David Collins) of Stuart; three grandchildren, Danny Ingle (Debbie), Tammy Atkins (Rob), and Tony Ingle; six great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, some of whom were very special; and special caregivers and family members, Debbie Ingle, Tammy Atkins, Candice Ingle, and Kendra McClellan.

Funeral services for Mr. Ingle will be held Monday, November 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Allan Vass officiating. The burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lesia Hazelwood, Sue Forrest, and all the caregivers at Blue Ridge Nursing Center for the care Pa was given over the years.

He will be truly missed by all who love him, until we meet again.
