Kiri Janet Ringrose, 88, of Stuart, Virginia passed away in Roanoke VA on December 14, 2025. She was the daughter of the late William John Hodgett and Mary Hodgett née Rice.
Kiri was born Janet Hodgett on July 21, 1937, in Sheffield, England. After completing school she became a kindergarten teacher and taught in both England and at bases in the middle east After marrying David Allen she moved to Canada, where her children were born, then moved to the United States. She obtained supplementary education in social work, was the activities director at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center around the turn of the century and later worked for Piedmont Community Services in Stuart, VA.
Kiri enjoyed acting & painting and she loved dogs. She was kind, generous and a good listener for all she met.
Kiri Ringrose is survived by children, Fiona Bryant and Owen Allen; grandchildren, Kiah Bryant, Stephanie Bryant, Genevieve Allen and Johnathan Allen, and many loving friends in the community.
In addition to her parents, Kiri is predeceased by her husband John Skinner and her first husband David Allen.
A small, private, online memorial may be held by family members. Due to internationally located family and friends an in-person service will not occur.
