The Lady Cougar softball team of Patrick County High School traveled to Magna Vista last Monday for the final regular season game of the season and came home with a 4-0 victory.
Cassidy Largen threw the whole game picking up 10 strikeouts and giving up only two hits.
Melanie Roberson went 2-3 at the plate, hitting two doubles and driving in two runners. Hanna Hylton also went 2-3 with a double and one RBI. Morgan Hughes went 2-4, driving in one RBI.
“This was the final game of our season ending with a record of 15-3. It was a good finish to the season and a good game to get us ready for conference,” said Coach Roger Wilson.
The Lady Cougars host the Conference 32 tournament; they have a bye in Monday’s opening round and will play the winner of Monday’s game between Hidden Valley and Christiansburg today (Wednesday).
