Ms. Margaret Pauline Rucker

Ms. Margaret Pauline Rucker was born in Patrick County on May 1, 1952, to the late Ida Rucker and Cephus Via.  She departed this life on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at her home.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nina Rucker Foster.  Margaret was a member of The Only Way Church and loved music, puzzles, cooking, quilting, fishing, and children.

Ms. Rucker leaves to cherish her memory an aunt, Ann Rucker of Brooklyn, New York; three sons, Victor Rucker (Laura) of Martinsville, Virginia, John Tatum and Byron Tatum, both of Stuart; two brothers, Elder Roy Rucker (Judy) and Eric Rucker, all of Stuart, Virginia; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; special friends, Earl Penn of Stuart, Hester Hairston (Elder Henry) and Gracie Harris all of Martinsville, Virginia and other close friends and relatives.

A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Rucker will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 12:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Frank Tatum presiding.  Burial will immediately follow in the Rucker Family Cemetery.  A wake will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the services on Saturday.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
