The Patrick County Cougars softball team ended the season at 11-9 and will travel to Magna Vista Monday for the Piedmont District Tournament.
The team lost 11-1 to Dan River, Monday, May 9, to even their record to 9-9 on the season.
McKenzie Holt and Abigail Epperson pitched for the Cougars.
Brooke Meade and Autumn Heath had the only hits for Patrick County.
The Lady Cougars defeated Floyd County 12-6, Wednesday, May 11. McKenzie Holt went the distance in the circle, striking out 11 in the victory.
Lauren Fulcher had a big night with 2 homeruns and 3 RBIs.
Lainie Hopkins had 3 hits with a double and a triple.
Epperson, Meade, and Holt each had 2 hits, and Madison Greer and Hannah Howard each added a hit for the Cougars.
