A portion of Virginia 626 (Abram Penn Highway) closed to through traffic for a bridge repair over North Mayo River, will continue to be closed through Nov. 14. The closure, which went into effect on Oct. 7, extends 0.50 mile from Virginia 701 (Stella Road) to 0.20 mile from Virginia 810 (Hollandsworth Drive).
The road was scheduled to reopen Oct. 31, weather permitting.
A detour and directional signs will be in place to help motorists.Â
