The Rural Music Coalition will gather at the Historic Star Theatre in downtown Stuart from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 8.
The coalition is opening the stage to all musicians on the second Monday of each month.
Each month, Les Moore plays rhythm and blues and invites everyone to attend.
At the coalition gathering in January, he said, “I welcome you all to the Rural Music Coalition here at the beautiful Historic Star Theatre. All of our musicians are regional people…And every once in a while we get a celebrity to come through!
“We’ve got a lot of really good talent, young and professional as well as veteran talent, right here in Patrick County and Henry County, Franklin County, Floyd and surrounding areas,” Moore said.
Food will be available.
The coalition encourages everyone to play and/or support live music, have supper and enjoy friends.
The $3 donation fee helps support the musicians. Performing musicians are admitted free. for more information, call Minnie Moore at 276-694-6518.
